Ostrovets Central District Clinical Hospital

The activity of the health care institution "Ostrovets Central District Clinical Hospital" started in July 1944. Since January 31, 2020 a new hospital complex has been put into operation and the Institution has acquired the status of a Clinical Hospital. Today the Ostrovets Central Regional Clinical Hospital is one of the largest modern multidisciplinary medical institutions in the Grodno region of the Republic of Belarus and is located in the town of Ostrovets, 50 kilometers from the border with the Republic of Lithuania.

The hospital is equipped with modern high-tech equipment, all conditions for treatment of patients are created, taking into account all needs. Medical care is provided by doctors-specialists of the highest, 1st, 2nd qualification category

The bed fund of the institution is 367 beds, including 317 beds of short-term stay, on the basis of which the following departments are deployed:

• Interdistrict obstetric department - 25 beds (including 10 beds for pregnant women and women in labor, 15 beds for pregnancy pathology);
• Gynecology Department - 20 beds (including pregnancy pathology 10 beds, interdistrict laparoscopic gynecology - 10 beds);
• Interdistrict cardiology department - 60 beds with a resource center for "Acute Coronary Syndrome" (including cardiology 50 beds, infarction 10 beds);
• Neurology Department - 40 beds; with a resource center for "Acute cerebral circulatory disorder and suspected acute cerebral circulatory disorder" (including neurological 28 beds, stroke 12 beds);
• Surgical department - 40 beds (including surgical 20 beds:- purulent surgery 10 beds, interdistrict urological 10 beds), since 25.04.2022 5 beds of laparoscopic surgery are organized;
• Interdistrict traumatology department - 30 beds;
• Interdistrict infectious disease department - 20 beds;
• Medical rehabilitation department (hospital) -20 beds (including: - rehabilitation neurological 8 beds; - rehabilitation traumatological 6 beds; - rehabilitation cardiological 6 beds);
• Interdistrict X-ray endovascular surgery room (performs complex high-tech cardiac surgical interventions);
• Interdistrict Transfusiology Center;
• Interdistrict Marriage and Family Department;
• Interdistrict PCR Laboratory;
• Interdistrict department of perenatal ultrasound diagnostics;
• Pediatric Department - 20 beds;
• Therapeutic department - 30 beds;
• Anesthesiology and Reanimation Department - 12 beds;
• Interregional department of radial diagnostics (RCT, MRI).

• Radiation methods of research (X-ray studies, computed tomography, magnetic resonance tomography);
• endoscopic therapeutic and diagnostic procedures and surgeries of digestive and respiratory organs (esophagogastroduodenoscopy, tracheobronchoscopy, rectosigmocolonoscopy with anesthetic assistance);
• ultrasound examinations (abdominal organs, genitourinary organs, fetus in the first, second, third trimesters of pregnancy, echocardiography).

Every year about 11,000 patients are treated in the departments of the hospital, more than 3,200 surgical interventions of various complexity are performed. Inpatient treatment is carried out with the use of modern medicines and medical technologies.
