On June 14, 2022, as part of an information tour organized by the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus and the National Tourism Agency, a delegation from Kazakhstan visited BelMAPO. The delegation was represented by: JSC National Company Kazakh Tourism, ALE Kazakhstan Tourism Association, ALE Urban Tourism Development Center, as well as a representative of the media Atameken Business.
Colleagues from Kazakhstan were informed about the activities of the medical services information portal “Clinics of Belarus”, the possibility of providing organizational support to citizens of Kazakhstan during treatment in healthcare institutions of the Republic of Belarus, and issues on the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of medical tourism were discussed.
Following the meeting between the state educational institution “Belarusian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education” and the association of legal entities “Kazakhstan Tourism Association”, a cooperation agreement was signed.
It should be noted that the information tour was organized following the participation of the Belarusian side in the Kazakhstan International Exhibition "Tourism and Travel KITF-2022" in Almaty (20-22.04.2022), during which representatives of the tourism sector of Kazakhstan showed interest in interacting with the Belarusian side in the field of medical tourism.
Further on the tour program, the delegation visited the state institution “Minsk Scientific and Practical Center for Surgery, Transplantology and Hematology”.
Guests from Kazakhstan were given a tour of the clinic, told about the advanced capabilities of the center in the field of organ and tissue transplantation, hematology and others, and were introduced to the activities of the educational center.
