On October 13, 2022, the grand opening of the II International Scientific Congress "Values, Traditions and Innovations of Modern Sports" took place, which was timed to coincide with the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Belarusian State University of Physical Education. The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Kovalchuk, the Minister of Sports and Tourism of the Russian Federation Oleg Matytsin, the President of the NOC Viktor Lukashenko and other honored guests.
The congress included a thematic exhibition "Sports Technologies: A Step into the Future", which was attended by representatives of the state information portal of medical services "Clinics of Belarus". The following areas were highlighted in the structure of the exhibition: sports technologies and innovations; sports equipment; sports equipment and inventory; pharmacology and sports nutrition; tourism and hospitality.
