Types of kidney transplantation

• Living donor transplantation – the kidney is transplanted from a related or compatible living donor.
• Deceased donor transplantation – the kidney is transplanted from a recently deceased donor.
• Combined transplantation – kidney transplantation performed simultaneously with pancreas transplantation in patients with diabetes.
