Obstetrics is a medical specialty focused on the care of women during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period, as well as on family planning. Belarus has a well-developed network of maternity hospitals and perinatal centers equipped with advanced medical technologies, which ensure the provision of highly qualified obstetric care. Particular attention is paid to the prevention of complications and the health and safety of both mother and child, contributing to high rates of childbirth safety.
