Bone X-ray is a diagnostic method that allows visualization of bone structures and detection of fractures, cracks, dislocations, tumors, and degenerative changes. The examination is widely used in traumatology, orthopedics, and rheumatology.

When is a bone X-ray required?

In cases of bone and joint pain, swelling, and restricted mobility. For the diagnosis of fractures, cracks, dislocations, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, and arthritis. How is the examination performed?

The patient is positioned as required, and the X-ray unit acquires images in one or several projections. The procedure takes 5–15 minutes and does not require preparation. In some cases, a contrast agent may be used to improve visualization.
