When is MRI of the brain required?
The examination is indicated in cases of headaches, dizziness, loss of consciousness, tinnitus, and memory impairment. How is the examination performed?
The patient is positioned inside a magnetic resonance scanner, where brain imaging is carried out. In some cases, a contrast agent is used to improve visualization of blood vessels and brain tissues. The procedure lasts approximately 20–40 minutes, is painless, and does not require special preparation.
