Ostrovets Central District Clinical Hospital

The Healthcare Institution "Ostrovets Central District Clinical Hospital" was established in July 1944. Since January 31, 2020 a new hospital complex has been functioning and the Institution was granted the status of a Clinical Hospital. Today, the Ostrovets Central Regional Clinical Hospital is one of the largest modern multidisciplinary medical institutions in the Grodno Region of the Republic of Belarus. The hospital is located in the town of Ostrovets, 50 kilometers from the border with the Republic of Lithuania.

The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology and provides comprehensive treatment conditions designed to meet patients’ needs. Medical care is delivered by doctors of the highest, 1st, 2nd qualification categories.

The hospital has the total capacity of 367 inpatient beds, including 317 beds for short term stay, distributed across the following clinical departments:

• Interdistrict Obstetrics Department — 25 beds (10 beds for pregnant women and women in labor, 15 beds for women with pregnancy pathologies);
• Gynecology Department — 20 beds (10 beds for women with pregnancy pathologies, interdistrict laparoscopic gynecology — 10 beds);
• Interdistrict Cardiology Department — 60 beds with the Resource Center for Acute Coronary Syndrome (including cardiology 50 beds, infarction 10 beds);
• Neurology Department — 40 beds; with the Resource Center for Acute Cerebral Circulatory Disorder and Suspected Acute Cerebral Circulatory Disorder (28 beds for neurological patients, 12 beds for patients with a stroke);
• Surgical Department — 40 beds (20 beds for surgery patients: — 10 beds for purulent surgery patients, 10 beds for interdistrict urology patients), since April 25, 2022 there have been organized 5 beds for laparoscopic surgery patients;
• Interdistrict Traumatology Department — 30 beds;
• Interdistrict Infectious Disease Department — 20 beds;
• Medical Rehabilitation Department (hospital) — 20 beds (8 beds for neurological patients; — 6 beds for rehabilitation of trauma patients; — 6 beds for cardiology patients);
• Interdistrict X-ray endovascular surgery room (for complex high-tech cardiac surgical interventions);
• Interdistrict Transfusiology Center;
• Interdistrict Department “Marriage and Family”;
• Interdistrict PCR Laboratory;
• Interdistrict Department of Perinatal Ultrasound Diagnostics;
• Pediatric Department — 20 beds;
